Summer time at La Finca

It was the first time during the summer season that I spent one week at La Finca and ... it was too short.

GOLF FOR ALL

The kids enrolled in activities organized by the Golf Academy at Los Arqueros. This was very convenient as they spent from 10 to 12 a.m. playing golf-inspired games, which gave the adults some time to organize the day. From our apartment at La Finca the kids could go to the activities by their own since we are situated just right next to the Club House.

My husband went for 9 holes at Los Arqueros accompanied by Gabi and he loved it. He also took advantage to try another Golf course close to our place: El Higueral Golf. Since it was summer time, he did Los Arqueros from 6 till 8 pm and El Higueral from 8 will 10 am.

BEACH FOR ALL

We did not have time to visit all the beaches we wanted but at least we visited some of them:

-The closest one: San Pedro de Alcantara. 10' from La Finca. A long beach with lot of space, no parking problem and some nice restaurants. Beware that it is a stone beach so take rubber shoes to make it more comfortable getting in and out of the water.

-Artola beach: Very nice sandy beach. Good to go with the kids since there are some spots where they can walk into the water without being covered by it. There are protected dunes thanks to which there are no buildings around this beach. It is about 30' from La Finca.

-Valdevaqueros (Tarifa): About 1h15' from our apartment, it makes a lovely day trip. This is the windsurfers' paradise and the atmosphere is great. It can take some time to park though. Worth having a walk in Tarifa after the day in the beach. So lively!. Just inform yourselves about the weather conditions: when the wind is too strong, the so-called Levante, better not to go.

FUN FOR ALL

We took the kids to Selwo Marina, a delfinarium in Benalmadena about 45' from La Finca. Nice place, not too big but with so many activities prepared for children that time flies: we spent 4 hours and the kids enjoyed it very much.

We spent one evening at Tivoli World, a charming attraction park with a flavour from the past. It was real fun, you do not have to queue for long and there are many attractions for kids to have fun.

We also went one evening for dinner at Marbella to an amazing place: Los Pescadores at "puerto pesquero" (fishermen port). The Address: Puerto Pesquero, s/n, 29603 Marbella,Phone:+34 664 29 17 56.High quality fish, excellent balance price/quality and amazing views.
