After summer time ... plenty of activities at Costa del Sol
Summer time is here! Nothing better than making the feeling last.
What about planning some easy escapes to Costa del Sol? I want to share with you some of the activities foreseen for the last part of the year and there are quite a few.
Sports
Marbella will be the meeting point of one of the best sports and entertainment events worldwide. The best tennis players of all times will take part in the Senior Masters Cup to be held in Marbella in September.

Exhibitions
“La Dinastía Románov”
The Collection of the Russian Museum in Málaga takes you into the era of the Russian empire through art, thanks to the year-long exhibition “The Romanov Dynasty”. The exhibition brings together works by artists who excelled between the seventeenth and twentieth centuries, coinciding with the successive reigns of the Romanov dynasty, until the abdication of Tsar Nicholas II with the outbreak of the Russian Revolution in 1917.
"Bacon, Freud and the London School"
The temporary exhibition “Bacon, Freud and the London School” shows the joint work of the first class painters who worked with a common denominator: the representation of the human figure.
Their works were painted between the second world war and the end of the twentieth century, mainly in London. This exhibition has been organized by the Tate Modern in collaboration with the Picasso Museum in Málaga.
"Juan Gris and the trail of cubism"
Juan Gris is one of the key figures of Cubism and with this exhibition the Carmen Thyssen Museum shows the relationship between the production of his mature years and the work of other artists with whom he shared friendship and creative harmony including María Blanchard, Jean Metzinger, Albert Gleizes, André Lhote and the sculptor Jacques Lipchitz. To complete this project, the exhibition will show how Juan Gris influenced various Spanish artists.
Flamenco
Flamenco show “El Patio de Estepona” (The Estepona Courtyard).
Every Thursday at 9pm, the Felipe VI Auditorium in Estepona is hosting a new show from flamenco artists joining together to express their art. The shows express the most passionate part of flamenco and of its performers, who experience it in a special way and transmit their enthusiasm for this art to the audience. An opportunity to discover the deep-rooted Andalusian flamenco tradition.
